Review: Let me begin by saying that I have been a Street Team member of an unnamed author for while now, and I love it so much that when I saw an opportunity to join the Street Team of Hilary Storm I JUMPED at the chance. Granted....I had never read one of her books, but there was something about the description of her books that called to me and told me I was going to love her. I love that I am rarely wrong hahaha. I can now say that after joining her Street Team and buying not just one but two books in the Rebel Walking series, I am a FOREVER FAN!!! Not only is there romance in this book, there is a feeling of completeness when the characters come together. We love with them, we feel sad with them, and we feel scared with them through everything they go through together. Just when you feel like everything is going the way it should be you get the surprise of your life! I feel that this book needs to be on everyone's to be read shelf!!! I'm rating this book FOUR STARS!!!!!

His To Possess: #1 The Suduction

This was part one of the book I was able to read, it was given to me by NetGalley and it was done as a miniseries. Really had me entertained! I was hooked from the first meeting with Dane, who wouldn't love a man helping a damsel in distress?  Not wanting to spoil the book for you I will just say when Dane and Jessica get together you will be fanning your face. The next morning is just as surprising haha.

Defy

Let me sing my praises for this book as well as I can. The very beginning of the book held me enthralled with the characters and what they already were having to go through with the death of their parents. Marcel's quick thinking in cutting Alexa's hair to make her appear to be his twin brother instead of twin sister was heartbreaking as well as genius. Although we do come to find out that it was something that had been discussed before. When next we meet up with Marcel and Alexa, who is now known as Alex, they are the personal guards of the Royal Prince Damian. Alex is the best fighter among all the guards and she is only seventeen. When assassins make an attempt on the Prince something horrible happens and Marcel is killed. Oh my God, even though I had just gotten to know these characters I felt such sympathy for Alex and I did have some tears for awhile there. Although Alex is a warrior and soldier, she is still a young woman hiding who and what she is, so when she begins to have feeling for the Prince as well as for Rylan, another guard, she isn't sure what is going on, just that she must do everything in her power to resist. When the Prince begins to act differently toward her she suspects he knows her big secret, but he can't know that can he? Here is where all the best things begin to happen, we find out Rylan knows about her and has feelings for her, then we find out the Prince isn't who he seems to be and he too has feelings for her. What will she do you ask me? HA I shall not tell you I say!! You will have to read this book for yourselves and let me tell you I am already hoping there is a next book soon to appease my hunger for it!  I received this book from NetGalley in return for my honest opinion. I am rating this book at four stars!!!!

Path Unchosen

I started this book excited about reading it, I finished the book excited it was over. No normally I'm a huge fan of witches and warlocks and supernatural beings, but for this book in the beginning it didn't hold my interest that much, although I was interested in finding out who Judy really was. The more I read, the less interested I was there were characters thrown in that were interesting in their own right, but for some reason the whole story just didn't sit well with me. I love the way the author was going with it but it just wasn't accomplished for me. By the end of the book I was tired of the main character in more ways than one. And I was confused about her mentor as well as other characters. I realize that there is to be another book, and it probably would answer most of the questions that I have been left with, however I am not in the least bit interested in reading it. I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.overall I'm going to rate this book at 2 stars.

Three Broken Promises

Description: Commitment. That’s what I really want from Colin. Ever since my brother, Danny, died in Iraq, Colin’s done so much to help me, including giving me a job at his popular restaurant so I can leave my crappy waitressing job at the strip joint. But lying in bed with him every night to comfort him from his horrible nightmares isn’t enough anymore. I know he feels guilty about Danny’s death, about not going to Iraq, but I can’t keep living this double life.

I love him desperately, but he’s got so many demons, and if he can’t open up to me now, then he’ll never be the real partner I need him to be. I gave him a month, and now I’m out of here. If he truly loves me like he says, he knows where to find me.

Publication Date: December 31, 2013

Review: Three broken promises? More like three wasted hours. Yes I tried to read this book for three hours just to finish it because I hate not giving a book a chance and at least trying. I tried my hardest then would take breaks then come back to it just groaning in my head wondering if it could get any worse. It did by the way. The more I read the more it seemed like a bunch of crap. I couldn't bring myself to read it for a moment longer however I did skip to the end to see if it was any better and I have to say the characters are just dumb in love I guess. Ridiculous.

King Hall

Description: A fresh, meaty, sink‐your‐teeth‐in‐and‐hold‐on‐tight new adult fantasy series kicks off with King Hall
King Hall — where the Mysticals go to learn their craft, get their degrees, and transition into adulthood. And where four new Rulers will rise and meet their destinies.
Lily Ruckler is adept at one thing: survival. Born a Mystical hybrid, her mere existence is forbidden, but her nightmare is only about to start. Fluke, happenstance, and a deep personal loss finds Lily deeply entrenched with those who would destroy her simply for existing — The Mystical Kings. Being named future Queen of the Shifters shoves Lily into the spotlight, making her one of the most visible Mysticals in the world. But with risk comes a certain solace — her burgeoning friendships with the other three Rulers: a wicked Vampire, a wild-child Mage, and a playboy Elemental.
Backed by their faith and trust, Lily begins to relax into her new life. Then chaos erupts as the fragile peace between Commoners and Mysticals is broken, and suddenly Lily realizes the greatest threat was never from within, and her fear takes on a new name: the Revolution.

Review:  I received this book from NetGalley and the Publisher in return for my honest review. Holy crap is what I have to say after staying up until freaking three a.m. reading this book! I could not put the damn thing down! I cried so hard in the beginning and then again at the ending! Oh and ask me how long it took me to pre-order the second installment of this series?? Did it immediately after finishing this one. I was highly upset I couldn't continue the journey I was on.  God the people were just so great, I was in love with Dominic and also with Ezra. I want so badly for Lily and Ezra to get together even though I feel like it is going to cause a political mess. I really just don't know what to feel about Pearl and Jack, other than to say I love them and hope things work out in the next book for them, but I know they are in for a big change. AHHHHHH....I cannot wait dangit lol. I want to read it now!!! I'm going to have to read this one again I suppose just to hold myself over and not go insane. Kuddos to the author who has me hooked. Obviously this book is being rated at five stars!!!!

Inhuman by Kat Falls; The Darkest Path by Jeff Hirsch; The Bar Code Prophecy by Suzanne Weyn

Description: In a world ravaged by mutation, a teenage girl must travel into the forbidden Savage Zone to recover lost artifacts or her father’s life is forfeit.

America has been ravaged by a war that has left the eastern half of the country riddled with mutation. Many of the people there exhibit varying degrees of animal traits. Even the plant life has gone feral.

Desperate to save her father, Lane agrees to complete his latest job. That means leaving behind her life of comfort and risking life and limb—and her very DNA—in the Savage Zone. But she’s not alone. In order to complete her objective, Lane strikes a deal with handsome, roguish Rafe. In exchange for his help as a guide, Lane is supposed to sneak him back west. But though Rafe doesn't exhibit any signs of “manimal” mutation, he’s hardly civilized . . . and he may not be trustworthy.

Review:  What to say about this book.....AMAZING!!! AWESOMENESS!!! Gosh there are so many words that do it justice! When I started this book I was immediately drawn into the world the author has created. When you read about how kisses shouldn't be given via mouth because of germs, I was like wow!! That would suck lol. The more I read the less I knew what was going on around me and the more I was drawn into the book. The characters are amazing as well, the names alone make them stand out and the way they are "mutated" is really imaginative and creative! Not only is this a book for the teenagers out there, it really is a book that can be read by all ages! There are moments where you will laugh, cry ( seriously cry, grab a box of tissue to keep handy!) and roll your eyes. Gosh Lane really gets you from the beginning, girl who is desperate to find her father, not only because of the ultimatum, but because she is worried about him. Rafe...am I allowed to say yum without being arrested lol? Because he is hotness but he takes some getting used to...me and my bad boys I tell you. Then there is Everson, who I am still trying to figure out. There are times when I want Lane and him to get together, but then he seems selfish, then there are moments when I'm like yea get with him!! But then again I want her with Rafe.......My brain is a mess  because of what happens at the end, I am anxiously awaiting the second installment of this book. I want to know where they went, how much time has passed, does anyone contact anyone??? So many questions left to be answered. Over all I would rate this book with five stars because it is just so awesome!!

Review: There were only a few chapters of this book for me to get a taste of it,  but I really didn't get into it. Granted I haven't read the whole book so I really cannot give a star rating for it and be honest, because who knows how I would feel halfway into it you know what I mean?

Description:
The third book in the Bar Code series, in which one girl struggles to escape the conformity of a dystopian world.

As they uncover more information about tracking, Grace must hide deep underground and under cover, trying to discover information that will allow Decode to figure out what Global 1 is up to, and trying desperately to shut the organization down for good.

Publication Date: November 1, 2012

Review: Again like the previous book, I really cannot give an honest review, not only because there really isn't enough for me to have formed an opinion, but because I haven't read any of the other books in this trilogy. It does sound very interesting though so I may be heading to the library sometime soon.

She loves her first tastes of liberated, naughty sex. But she’d better not start falling for her boss—no matter how safe he makes her feel—because while office sex is encouraged, romance is strictly forbidden.

Review: I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinion.

Hummmm....how did I feel about this book???? I have to say that it was just okay. Although it was a short book I felt like the author could have put a little more into it. For some reason here lately I have been getting this books to read and they are not turning out to be what I am expecting. Yes the description of the book says that during her interview she gets naked quickly, but as I was reading this I wasn't sure how I was feeling about it. She comes in and the guy behind the receptionist desk is rude, then when she is in her interview she is practically immediately told to get naked.....I mean hello....isn't she at all concerned about this unexpected change of events? Yes the author expresses her feelings a little here, but not enough for me to connect with the character at all. Then all of a sudden she is have a four way...granted the guys are all hot, but wow!!! It was so out of the normal....The book was just totally unbelievable. Now I don't always have to connect to the characters to enjoy a book , but it does make it more enjoyable for me when I do. I was curious as to what would happen next so I did get the sample of the next book through Amazon, but it was a little ridiculous so I didn't spend my money on it. I rated this with two stars.

Publication Date: December 1, 2013

Review:  When I started this I was unsure of if I was going to like it or not, but within a short amount of time it became obvious I did. I've always been a fan of historical romances, there is something about that time frame that is just sexy when written correctly. Cecelia is a handful from the beginning of the book, when she grows up and is told she is to be married to Lord Stanton she is very  upset. Yes Lord Stanton is a good looking man, and he isn't old or anything, but he is known to be a ladies man. With her wedding night upon her she is disappointed when it isn't anything exciting for her. Her husband is a bit disappointed as well that she doesn't share his appetite for sex. That is all I'm going to share of the book with you! I will say that after that night things change and for the better! There is some sexual things in here that I'm not really used to reading, but it wasn't disgusting or anything for those concerned! I feel like this is a wonderful and sexy book that is enjoyable to read.

Publication Date: Oct 8, 2013

Review: I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher in return for my honest opinion. I have previously read Love at First Date in another collection of books, I did enjoy reading it again as it is a cute short read though. The next book however, I disliked immensely. Twins trading places and one falling for the other's ex??? Um negative ghost rider( as my kids say) There was something just a little gross about the whole thing...even though apparently the other sister and he had never "got it on" I just couldn't get into it.  The third book in the collection was decent, I did like the story line because it made me feel sorry for them both at the end, but still it wasn't my favorite of books. Bryn acts ridiculous at times and makes you want to smack her for being such a b****!

Awakening the Warriors

A desperate job, but someone has to do it.

Publication Date: May 1, 2013

Review: I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher in return for my honest opinion. Even though this book was short, it was stuffed with excitement and sex scenes sure to get your heart a stuttering. We feel terrible for our Darkon guys when they are beaten by the guards for fun. When Fran talks to the other prisoners they decide she must be the one to go to them and get their help. The guys are sexy and very dominating, as we like most of our guys to be, but they are bleeding and dirty so Fran takes it upon herself to clean them up. What follows is too much for me to post and something you really should read yourself :)

After the Fall

This was the second of the Tucker Springs series I have read, but sadly I didn't care for this one as much as the other I had read and I just am not sure why. I guess because it was such a great book I had high hopes this one would be as well. Nathan gets on my every last nerve! What a guy I tell you. Even though the idea of this book really is well written, I just had trouble connecting and really being able to get into it. I don't really have anything else to say about this one...It is a decent book so I am rating it a three out of five.

A Vampire's Christmas Carol

Hello holiday times! I love this time of the year, all the food, gifts and family you don't get to see that often! Of course there are the required traditional holiday movies too! When I saw the title of this book I knew I had to read it! Luckily I was able to get it from NetGalley in return for my honest opinion and now that I have read it I have to SPEW it's good graces all over! To sum it up, it's a lot like A Christmas Carol, duh lol,  our sexy vamp is not living his life as he should and someone from his past decides to sacrifice and show him his past, present and future if things continue as they are. The details the author went into with certain things just about broke my heart, and I have to say that is what sealed the deal for me. I loved this book and how even though it is similar to that epic movie and story, it is also completely different in so many different ways! This is a book you aren't going to want to miss out on reading and myself, I would love to read a sequel to this book.  I'm rating this five out of five stars!

Covet Thy Neighbor

I received this book from NetGalley in return for my honest opinion.
This was the first of the Tucker Springs Novels I have ever read,  I have to say I was so impressed with this book! I never would have thought I would ever read a m/m book with a minister as one of the main characters! Normally I would say that it was a terrible idea and it is probably even a bit too taboo to do. On the other hand....I loved it! The way the author wrote his character made him so real and the people he ministers to just breaks your heart and you love him for what he does. There are so many people that have reacted badly to their family members coming out and have certainly kicked them to the streets..what does that do I ask you? Nothing but make the person even more confused and miserable than they were to begin with. The fact that he knows what they are going through and understands just makes the book all the better. Now on to our sexy tattoo artist! Who doesn't have a thing for the sexy guy with the tattoos? Who wouldn't want a little ink if it meant being close to that guy? I personally love them, they are addictive. Overall I loved how the characters fight their attraction so hard only to fall so hard lol. Great book!

Stoned

I personally love books set back in Ancient Rome or Greece, I  have always wondered at how they lived, the things they did or didn't do for a living. I'm a curious person by nature so I gobble up books such as this on a daily basis if I can. This was a really good book, yes it could have been a tad longer, but it got the point across in the short time frame it had. These characters are both manly men, which I also love! Dominating men are just so sexy, there is just something that sounds so wild and untamed about chariot slave racers. I wish there had been more information about how long ago they had met and how they became to be such good friends, you know like more of a back story. But, the author tells us enough so we can use our own imaginations at least. I love the theme of this book and how it takes us from ancient times to current times, again I wish there were more information than what the author tells us though, but she does a good job of the transition between past and current. I would read more by this author no doubts. I rate this book four stars out of five.

Freshman Orientation

I admit I liked most of the book, but I didn't like how the main character has his friend give him a list of freshman names. I also didn't like how he never tells Sean how he found him really. When that comes out its gonna be bad. I don't really have anything else to say on this book.

Switched

Of all the books I have read recently for NetGalley, I have to say this one was one of my all time favorites! I have never read a book by this author before but I have to admit after reading this I have been doing some massive online searches for more by her lol. This book was just incredible! I love the idea of it, girl in love with guy she can't have, has friend who is in love with said boys girlfriend that he also can't have. They join forces to try to get what they want. I laughed and laughed through this book at some of the characters actions. I also smacked my forehead a few times asking myself why oh why didn't they get it???? It only took me a few chapters to figure it out...well except for the HUGE reveal at the end!! I will recommend this book to everyone I know because I know they will get a kick out of it! It is refreshing to read a book that isn't all about BDSM and sex as a lot of books are lately because of Fifty Shades. This is a refreshing, for all ages book and I for one wouldn't mind reading a sequel to it!!!

Wanted

J. Kenner has done it again, she has created characters that are warm and alive! Evan is the gorgeous alpha male that has secrets but he isn't your typical bad boy, he wants to be good so badly it's sweet. Angie is a tormented soul who has wanted Evan since she was sixteen. Having suffered a tragic loss at a young age and now the loss of her uncle she is having issues. She too has her own secrets but that doesn't stop her from wanting Evan. When she figures out he wants her too, she begins a plan of seduction to have him no matter what. I tell you this book really was quite steamy and the characters amazing. The end leaves you wondering what will happen to certain people and makes you wish the next book were out already because I know there will be something in there about them. Anxiously awaiting the next installment and rating this one in at five stars!!

Searching for Someday

From the very beginning I loved this book, Kate is a successful business woman who owns her own matchmaking business and has the special ability to touch couples and figure out if they are meant to be together or not. When she meets the non-believer Slade who really just wants her to dump his sister from their client list, she flat out tells him no. This leads to an exciting journey that I loved reading though, Slade forces her to take him on as a client to show him that this matchmaking can work, but they begin to have feeling for each other that really is quite cute if you ask me. I loved how they acted toward each other and only wish the book could have been just a little longer because I didn't want it to end. I have to give this book four stars and can't wait to read more by this author.

Crashing Into You

My first thoughts on this book are that I was astounded. When I started this book I liked it, but didn't love it, then the more I read of it I was annoyed by Sydney and her whole, " I have to have him" mentality. I can understand wanting to be with someone who is with a friend, but when said friend is out of the picture due to strange circumstances I won't go into because I don't want to ruin the book, let it go sheesh. When she finally sees him again they begin their relationship and someone unexpected comes between them little by little. I thought it was a tad creepy to be honest, in fact from this point on is where I draw the line and have to say I hated it. The ending was ridiculous and just upset me more than anything else. I liked Evan at first, but by the end I hated him. I had high hopes for him but he turned out to be an idiot. Overall I would rate this book at 2 stars and that is only because there isn't a half to be 1 1/2 stars.

Rockstar Romance Boxed Set

This was an awesome collection of books, who doesn't like the bad boy? To add to it they are all rock stars! What a combination for the mind. All of the authors took the time to make you want to be in the stories, they really know how to draw you into it and also they know how to leave you  hanging! There were so many of the stories that I wanted to keep reading or even read a sequel to! There is also a lot of hot and steamy sex scenes in every book!  Overall I rated this book at four stars simply because there are so many books in the series and the theme of them all.

The Deadly Series Boxed Set

From the very beginning I was in love with this series, it held me riveted in spot unable to move for fear of missing something important. When I read a really good book it's like I'm watching a movie, I can see the characters, the places and everything that befalls them if it's written well. This series was fabulous, it was like I was at a marathon movie premiere. I couldn't get enough, each book had it's own villain and the hero was always dangerously sexy. There were a couple of times in one of the books that I just got so mad that I didn't want to finish that book , but I forced myself to and in the end it worked out. It is because of that book that I give this series a four star review, I feel that the author did an incredible job and i cannot wait to read more by her.

Have Yourself a Curvy Little Christmas

I really loved this book, it really took me someplace special. Pretty, wild Dina meets rich bad boy and falls in love. After some time she realizes she pregnant. The book takes place ten months after her wild time with Virgil and she has a ten month old son. It's almost Christmas time and she wants for her son to have a good Christmas and so she has picked up everything to confront Virgil who took off after learning she was pregnant. When she arrives at the  mansion it's to find Ben not Virgil there with some horrifying news. Dina's son Dash worms his way into Ben's heart and soon Ben does the same to Dina. Their story is just what everyone needs to be reading for the upcoming holidays! I told all my friends about this book and know they will love it as much as I did.

Spotlight on Love

I didn't like this book, Indy got on my nerves from the very beginning with her casting auditions, how can she really be that stupid as to not know her agent sucks. Then she acts all high and mighty when she meets Luke, who turns out to be an awesome guy, but I'm surprised he even begins to like her the way shes a ditz. The book does have you guessing as to what could happen when the queen bee starts up the drama and then leaves. I can't believe how stupid everyone is for falling for it. The ending was ok, but the whole book was just a mess for me.

Carved in Stone

I want to start out saying I have read numerous books by Kate Douglas and I have loved most of them, this was one that I just couldn't get into for some reason though. There was just something about it that put me off, I'm not sure what it was, because honestly there really isn't anything wrong per say with the book. It just didn't  interest me in the way I would have liked. I rated the book with two stars and for that I'm sorry I only wish I could have rated it more.

Cover Me

I have to begin this review with a big HELL YEA!!!! I loved this book!!! From the first couple of pages to the very last of the book I was enthralled with the characters and the story.  Allie is a former model, she was a big deal and everyone knew her name. She quit the business two years ago with her boyfriends encouragement, and is now regretting it. Not only did her boyfriend dump her, but he spent almost all her money and just left her high and dry for another model. Trying to get back into the business isn't easy as she is told by everyone. Because she was such a big name they are willing to give her a chance though but they tell her it's going to be hard work. They set her up with a private trainer to be with her all day long to make sure she exercises and is eating right to lose the extra weight she has gained in two years. His name is Ray and boy is he a hottie, but she doesn't have time for anything if she want's to make it again. We follow Allie through some modeling jobs that make her feel terrible and through training that just makes her sick. Ray and Allie do begin to have some feelings for each other but there is something between them that can also disrupt her career path. Things start to fall apart with a missing thong worth a ton of money that Ray is accused of stealing and it only gets better from there. I loved the detective work the author put in, it was sweet and cute at the same time as being dangerous! I have rated this book at five stars due to the excitement and wonderful storyline. I would read more books by this author in a heartbeat!!!

Play by Play

This was a cute, but short book. Jake Dublin is a sports writer and a blogger, he is divorced and feels he just isn't good at relationships. When he meets the beautiful Sophie on the elevator in his building one day he knows he wants to date her but isn't sure about her being interested in him so he takes it to his blog. He begins posting things about " Elevator Girl" in the hopes of getting advice on if he should ask her out and what her cryptic remarks might mean.  When he finally gets to know her somewhat he learns she isn't that into jocks, so he decides to not tell her what he does for a living and sure as hell not tell her about the blog on "Elevator Girl". Even his followers are telling him what a bad idea it is that he is posting things about her without her knowledge, but he ignores it. When he finally meets her family he is shocked and dismayed as to who her family members are and that they know about the posts on "Elevator Girl"! That is when everything falls apart and we want to read more and more to see how he is going to fix this mess. Overall I rated this book at four stars, but it was more of a three and a half for me. I find I'm just not that big on books with continuous blogs, emails, texts...etc.

The Virgin: Revenge

"I was seventeen when I met Drake Gallagher. Seventeen, naive, foolish…and in love. Or so I thought. That summer, and the months that followed, set the course of my life.
Ten years later, I’m still struggling to put the pieces of me back to together.
It’s time to stop struggling. It’s time to take control…and maybe, it’s time for a little revenge.
He doesn’t have time for naive little virgins?
Well, I’m not naive anymore."

When  I read this description I just knew I had to read this book. I just knew I was going to love the main character without a doubt and couldn't wait to be approved to read it. When I was approved I began reading so fast it was like I was inhaling it. Even though I did like the book, I wondered about the main character I was convinced I was going to love, there is something totally wrong with this girl. Ok so as a teen she falls for Drake and yea, he is a little rude and all that when he says what he says about virgins, but come on ten years later she is STILL upset about this incident? When I read the description I was under the impression he had hurt her by taking her virginity then dumping her by saying what he said, but no that wasn't the case.  I think girl needs to move on with her life. She goes out of her way to get a job at his company for the sole purpose of revenge...I mean really, get a life.  There were some plus sides to the book, the story does keep you entertained and you do want to keep reading to find out what is going to happen. The problem I had was I just didn't connect with the book nor did I care for the way the characters acted in the book. Overall I would rate this book two and a half stars if I could do halves.

Playing By The Rules

Even though this book was fast paced and way too short I absolutely loved it!!! Kate does have a tendency to get on my nerves a tiny bit but that can only be expected when we find out she has a plan and if life doesn't go by the plan she feels like it's all her fault and the end of everything. That is a teeny bit dramatic and that is only complaint I have with the story. The characters are amazing and very lifelike. I love Josh, who is Kate's best friends brother. She knew him years ago and had a crush on him and now when she is in town for her school reunion and alone since her boyfriend dumped her for another friend she finally gets her chance. However, she almost ruins everything with her plan mentality and I was so happy with the way it ended because if it had ended any other way I would have had to jump in that book and beat the tar out of her lol. Love the book, love the way the author draws you into the story, would love to read more by this author. Overall I am rating this cute little story with four stars.

Safe In His Arms

When I started reading this book, I wasn't sure I was going to like it after I read the first chapter. Then suddenly I was drawn in like a movie and didn't want it to end. The only problem I had with it was the BDSM involved. I like a good BDSM book just like the next person, but for some reason this one didn't do it for me and the author is very lucky I loved the storyline so much which makes up for it. For some reason it felt fake as hell and forced at times, I can't really explain it, just that others that I have read draw me into the sex scenes and I almost feel like I'm there, but this one just didn't do that for me during these scenes and caused me to skip through them after the first two scenes I read. As for the rest of the book, I still wish I could keep reading and am sad it's over. Overall I would rate this at a four star book and if the author works on her sex scenes in future books I'm sure I will be happy to vote them at four or higher!!

Freedom to Submit ( Freedom, Colorado, Book 1)

This is the first book in the Freedom, Colorado series which and the second book buy this author that I have ever read. I wasn't a huge fan of the first book I had read, because I seem to be confused for most of it. This book however was a little bit better, except that I didn't like the two male characters as much as in the first book I read. I wasn't able to connect with either one of them and I also wasn't able to connect with the female character. I found it all a little too surreal how quickly they fell for each other, and how they acted through most of the book. If the book was a movie I feel like it would have gotten terrible reviews. The only exciting part for me was at the very end of the book, where we find something unexpected has happened with someone who was supposed to be trusted. Although I must say I have certain feelings about this person and knew they were up to no good. All in all the book was at best 3 stars even though I wish I could give more I just am not able to.

Shadow Fall

When I first began reading Shadow Fall, I was confused so I set out to find the first book in the series and upon doing so stumbled into the world of wraiths, and someone called Shadowman. After I finished the first book, and was finally able to read this book without being lost and confused I must say I really, really enjoyed it. I liked Custo from the first book and was very upset at his death. Being able to have him come back in this book was wonderful. I did get a little confused at what Annabella was able to do. Having finished the book, I would have to say that I would rate it at four stars and I cannot wait to read the next installment.

Anything for a Dollar

When I first started this book I was a little concerned I wasn't going to like it. But after the first story I have to say I was hooked. These are stories about guys that either are needing the money desperately or just seem to do it as a job.  There are some stories that I hated, and some I loved. I'm not going to list each and every story because that would take awhile as there are numerous stories in it, but I will say that these stories have you feeling something for the young men trying to earn their money. In one story I almost cried for the guy paying for sex though because he has himself convinced that he is in love with this guy and that he has feelings for him too. When morning comes and his money has run out the young man kicks him out of his bed telling him if he wants to stay its ten dollars, when he sits there finally understanding the guy only cares for him when he pays for it he dresses quickly. It just broke my heart, poor fella. Then there is one story that confuses the hell out of me. It seems there are a bunch of models running the street pulling their pants open and their privates flopping in the wind then they get on a train and someone gives one of them oral sex. I was so lost at that point I had no clue what was going on so I would say that one was an epic fail. Overall I would rate this book at four stars. I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for my honest opinion.

Secret Santa

I always love the books that come out during the holidays, the Christmas ones are my favorite though. This book is called Secret Santa and has four different stories by four different authors. I have only ever read books by two of the authors and that is why I requested to read it, but I have to say other than one great story I was sadly disappointed.

Mister Christmas by Fern Michaels: I have read numerous books by this author and it has been hit or miss for each book of her's I have read. This one was a little bit of in the middle of that.  I loved the idea of a wealthy man inviting his lawyer to his home overseas saying he was dying, which turns out to be a ruse because he wants her to marry his handsome nephew. Now where it starts to go haywire is after she refuses to marry him and decides to leave, they start getting hot for each other. He takes her in his private plane to go home and all of a sudden they are in a relationship. I know the author had to make it a short story, but she could have made it more believable. I do like the ending, it's very touching and in the Christmas spirit, but I still didn't care for it.

The Yellow Rose of Christmas by Marie Bostwick: I absolutely hated this story, I had to force myself to read all of it. I was confused at times and just plain bored at others. I didn't care for the characters, I didn't even really care for the story the author was trying to convey. Overall I repeat, I hated it.

Nightmare on Elf Street by Laura Levine: I loved this story, I laughed my butt off frequently while reading it and only wished it could have been longer. Janie goes for a job interview based on a fib, and is told she is exactly what they are looking for, only if she agrees to be an elf in the Store for Christmas. Wanting the job she agrees and is given a horrible costume. While being an elf, there is some romance, not for her, mischief, mayhem and even murder ( he had it coming). I was drawn into this story so much and can't say how much I loved it.

Room at the Inn by Cindy Myers: I had never read anything by this author before, and I have to say I really enjoyed it. This story shows the true meaning of having Christmas spirit. The characters are amazing and their stories are so wonderful. This story left me wanting more, I want to know what happens afterwards.

Overall I would rate this book at a three stars since I only cared for two stories. I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley for an honest opinion.

Deceitfully Yours

I really enjoyed this book, it was refreshing to read a BDSM book where the dom didn't come from some kind of tragic background, he does it because he enjoys it. Now grated there is some tragic back story there, but it has nothing to do with his sexual choices. I was confused at first as to why Kylie is doing what she does for her boss Mason. I would have either turned him in by now or run away. When she finally gets with Jude and they fall for each other so quickly I was a little concerned because, if she loved him so much why didn't she tell him the truth? What was going on in her head, he's rich, he's powerful, he could help her and instead she continues on with the ruse. When everything hits the fan and Jude learns he has been betrayed I feel so sorry for him. I truly loved his character, and I personally never would have given her a second chance. But I must say the ending, though sweet, left something to be desired. It left me thinking there must be a second book coming to explain more things to us. If there isn't then I guess I'll be in the dark, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Love at First Date

I thought this book was like a breath of fresh air, the characters were just cute and loveable and the story line was just perfect. Ellen just turned thirty and wonders where the guy is for her, so she signs up on a dating website and gets down to business. There are two guys that really have her attention and seem like they may be the one she's looking for, but only a face to face meeting will tell. When her friend Rachael begs her to dogsit Chester, the dog from hell that chewed up her new boots last time she was near him, at first she says no way, but when she learns her friend has a date she finally agrees. Arriving at Rachael's and watching her leave with a hot guy she decides to schedule a face to face with one of the guys on the website. After doing that she finds poor Chester choking on something from her purse, that he has emptied out and gone through. Not sure what he ate and worried because he is hacking up a lung, she rushes to the vet where she meets a hot as hell guy who saves Chester. Henry is everything she could ask for in a guy and when she finds out he and his dog are enrolled in a dog obedience class she decides to enroll Chester. The next day she picks up Chester and takes him again only to find Henry wearing the same clothes as the day before and looking worn out. Disappointed because he obviously has a girlfriend, she goes out with Craig, one of her guys from the dating website. I have to say, this date was hilarious to me, the guy spent more time checking things off of a list than actually getting to know Ellen, and his personality would have put me way, way off. Sadly she agrees to a second date, and here I wondered what the hell was she thinking. She then agrees to go out with the other guy she thought might be a good match from the dating website and it turns out to be a disaster. He looks nothing like what his picture looks like and she doesn't want to start a relationship out with a lie. Giving him some advice she then leaves. I don't want to tell you too much more about the book, because you should read it for yourself, it's such a cute book and really is something for everyone to read. I rated this book a four out of five stars. I received this book from the publisher in return for an honest review.
