What she doesn't know is that Hunter has more baggage than anyone should have to carry. Review: The cover of this book is what drew me into wanting to read it to begin with. I mean damn look at it! It's a very sexy cover, kuddos to whoever did actually pick it out. Secondly, when I read what the book was about my curiosity was peaked...I have a thing for bad boys heehee. Yes I did just giggle a little there. When I started the book developed certain feelings toward the characters and while reading my opinion changed a lot. I loved Autumn from the start, the goody, goody who was like a dog with a bone lol. She never quits even when she knows it would be for the best. The only thing that got me is that she tries and tries so hard for Hunter but when it came to her friend Brody she didn't try as hard in my opinion. Not that it really matters, just thought it was curious. Evie, what can I say about that poor girl? Her story isn't new, but I am glad that the author touched on it and the things she dealt with in the party scene. Although I did understand where she was coming from I felt like she was a little selfish for awhile there. Brody, I wanted so badly to like him and did for about five minutes then he turned into a douche. Sigh...Hunter...Yummy!! Gosh he is such the bad boy, from the jacket to his attitude problems. His personality did change from time to time though and that made me worry he was bipolar a bit lol. I would love to re-read this book from Hunter's prospective. I bet that could be a pretty awesome book. This one in itself was really great, I just wish it was more than Autumn's thoughts all the time. This book made me sad at times and confused at others, but in a good way!! I love the pain and happiness they go through from beginning to end. Great book and I cannot wait to read more by this author.

Released-To Make My Own Dirty Little Secrets by Jamie Fuchs

Description: Because of popular demand, this is part four of "Kept, Taken, and Controlled."
After Casey's lifelong dream fades from reality, she decides to steer her life in a new direction. Following some sexy goodbyes, she heads to France in search of a fresh beginning.Too bad she can't seem to find anything other than irresistibly dominant French men...

Publication Date: January 27, 2014

Review: I can already see where a fifth book will come in to play and I'm already anxiously awaiting it already! Although Released has us unsure of how much time has passed since our last encounter with the naughty Mr. Davis, it quickly makes up for that with some true insight into our characters life instead of just the wonderfully erotic sex scenes we have become used to. Although I was a bit disappointed that Sarah didn't have more of a part in this book, I was extremely happy that Daniels played a quick, dirty yet confusing part.

We find out that our main character is going to head off to France for a job. She got the idea from a friend of her parents and I have to say it would be rather exciting to do this, just up and leave everything and head to a foreign country. Before she departs she gets a message from our delicious Daniels wishing to see her before she leaves. If you have read any of the previous books you know what happens, but the way he treats her left me going..HUMMMMM....What's up with that..then I filed it away for future reflection. After this stimulating goodbye to Daniels, she decides she needs to see the naughty Mr. Davis again. I have to say ....I LOVED THIS SCENE!!! Not telling ANYTHING that happens because you HAVE TO BUY IT!!! After a confusing goodbye to Sarah, our character arrives in France and meets Leon, then in her class she meets Adam.. You are going to want to read what happens from there lol.

GO BUY THIS BOOK!!!

Heart of Stone (Gargoyles #1)

Description: Ella Harrow is trying to carve out a normal life for herself. Well, as normal as an art geek with psychic abilities can hope for. As museum docent and gift-shop manager, Ella is able to keep her distance from people—and her powers in check—while surrounding herself with the artifacts she loves. But how on earth is she supposed to act normal when a thousand-year-old statue on the museum’s terrace suddenly comes to life?

Not your ordinary gargoyle, Kees has been asleep for eons, waiting for a portent of evil to wake him from his slumber. Kees isn’t a vision; he’s a bat-winged guardian created to protect the world from the seven demons of the Dark. Somehow, Ella triggered his reawakening. Maybe the demons have been unleashed? Maybe his heart is finally ready to be chiseled open? The fate of the world isn’t carved in stone… yet.

Publication Date: December 31,2013

Review: I LOVED it!!! There was everything you could ask for. I have always been fascinated with gargoyles and to have one come to life and not only be gorgeous but also a Guardian is AWESOME!! I love the idea of the book that there are demonic sorcerers running around doing away with those associated with the Guardians who do good. When Ella inadvertently awakens Kees she is startled to say the least. When he starts talking all this nonsense she doesn't know what to do. Skipping forward Kees starts training Ella to use her powers and along the way they share a night of passion one can only dream of. They each realize they care for one another at different times and its so sweet. The ending leaves us ready for the next story!!

Growing old before her time, Layla lost her identity, she must learn how to allow herself to be loved and cared for once again. Life takes an unexpected turn when Layla meets Will Meyer. His breathtaking good looks are enough to catch her eye, but his sincerity and passion are everything she needs to find the strength and confidence she lost — and lead her into love. When tragedy once again strikes Layla’s life, her hope is all but completely crushed. Through it all, Layla learns what it means to truly love and be loved.

Publication Year: 2013

Review: I found this book to be very interesting. It was mysterious, dark at times, romantic in ways, and overall I just really liked it. I got it for free on Amazon the other day and thought, " Why not?" so here we are. After reading it I have to say I cannot wait to read the next two books in the trilogy. The characters are AMAZING and I wanted to help them with everything I had! I was beginning to get the creepy feeling from Marcus and I'm sad about that because I really liked him in the beginning. I felt like he would have made a really good friend to have, and while he did do some "friend-like" things, I just don't feel like he is doing it as a "friend" I think he has ulterior motives. Will...what can I say about gorgeous Will??? Not only is he drool worthy, but he finally has come out from under his father's thumb and stood up for himself, even though I feel like this could be the beginning of a HUGE journey for Layla and Will, and Layla's Aunt and Uncle. The way the book ends does leave you hanging, but luckily the other books are already out haha.

Believe ( True Believers, #3) by Erin McCarthy

Description: Robin used to be a party girl… until she got black out drunk and woke up in bed with her best friend's boyfriend. Now she's faced with being THAT girl, and couldn't be more disgusted with herself. She can't even tell her friends the reason for her sudden sobriety and she avoids everyone until she meets Phoenix—quiet, tattooed, and different in every way that's good and oh, so bad…

Phoenix is two days out of jail when he meets Robin at his cousin's house, and he knows that he has no business talking to her, but he's drawn to her quiet demeanor, sweet smile, and artistic talent. She doesn't care that he's done time, or that he only has five bucks to his name, and she supports his goal to be a tattoo artist.

But Phoenix knows Robin has a secret, and that it's a naïve dream to believe that his record won't catch up with them at some point. Though neither is prepared for the explosive result when the past collides with the present…

Publication Date: January 21, 2014

Review: All I can say is Wow!! I first read this series last year with True, I loved the story and the characters and I'm glad that all of her books revolve around this family. This book is about their cousin Phoenix who has just gotten out of jail. Robin is friends with Jessica and Rory and Kylie from the first two books, and she has gotten herself into a real sticky mess. Although unintentionally she has done one of the worst things possible to a friend and has fallen into a depression of sorts. After meeting Phoenix and feeling a connection with him they begin to hang out. He basically brings her back to life. Now normally I would say it was awful quick for them to fall for each other, but the way the author wrote it, you just have to go with it and smile when they say it to each other for the first time. I am now and will evermore be an Erin McCarthy fan after this book. I love, love, love how she continues to use the previous characters in situations with our current couple and how much of a loving family they really are, despite their upbringing. Even though I was sad when I reached the end, I read the preview for the next book in the series and that brought me back up again!! Cannot wait!!!

Publication Date: December 31, 2013

Review: The office affair has been carrying on hot and heavy, but now Jessica is worried about her ex coming around, she isn't sure what to do about that. Dane is so hot and she is beginning to have feelings for him that confuse her. There are some seriously sexy scenes in this book, I did giggle a bit a couple of times though. When Melanie, a co-worker sees Dane having sex with someone, Jessica confesses it was her and agrees with Melanie it's a bad idea to get it on with the boss, but she just can't help herself.  Jessica gets the surprise of her life one day at work and is confronted by her ex...Storm! He is just as surprised to find her there as she is to see him there.... What could that mean??? I KNOW WHAT IT MEANS!!!! Pardon the shouting lol, I also may have jumped up and down a bit in glee because I knew this was going to happen.

Publication Date; September 18, 2013

Review: Oh god let me begin with how sexy both Taron and Talon are. They are so different and yet so alike in some things. I loved the first book in this series which was Talon's story. I can honestly say I loved this one just as much. We get a more in depth look at Ivy and when something terrible happens we see how alike the brothers are after all. Now, for the bad news...Ivy gets on my nerves! Has from book one lol. I loved Eaven but something about Ivy just bugs me. However after her horrific event I understood her better. I don't like how Taron is always going after her and she continues to run at times. Overall I love this series, I am impatient for the next book! On another note is this cove not the sexiest cover???!!!! I absolutely love it!!!

Publication Date: December 10, 2013

Review: What a utterly sweet and emotional book. I was excited to begin reading it...even though it took me awhile to get to it..Sorry about that!! The characters are so real and you feel compassion for Andy and what she is going though being a single mom. When she meets Matt I knew her whole life was about to change..whether it was for good or worse. Everything that they go through together just shows how much work the author put into this book. The story is just full of life and things that could happen to anyone...although some of it I wouldn't want to happen lol. Overall I rate this sweet book at 5 stars!!!

The Fireside Inn ( The Billionaire Bachelors #1)

Publication Date: January 7, 2014

Description: They're gorgeous, they're rich, they're single, and they're determined to stay that way for life...until they take a trip to Sanctuary Island. Don't miss this unforgettable new novella trilogy about three billionaire bachelors who are about to discover that sometimes you have to let go of the life you planned in order to embrace the life of your dreams.
In the first novella, The Fireside Inn, Lord Leo Stratham seems to have it all. But when he meets Sanctuary Island's quirky young librarian, he's intrigued. Serena is unlike anyone he's ever met before, and he's determined to get to know her a whole lot better. Yet despite the simmering attraction between them, she isn't interested in putting up with a pampered playboy...unless he can convince her to take a chance on him.
Review: The book starts out with us meeting all our sexy bachelors and also meeting Miles who is their friend. He has summoned them to a posh clubhouse to tell them he is to be married and he wants them to be in his wedding. They are all shocked but Leo is even more shocked when he is asked to read a poem at the wedding! Then to make mattes worse, Miles makes a bet. He bets they will find love at the island and whoever holds out the longest wins his helicopter and landing pad privileges at the club. They all agree laughing because they think the bet is way to easy to win. Boy are they gonna be in for a surprise lol. When Lord Leo meets the sexy librarian he is not about to tell her the reason he wants her help in finding a poem to read at the wedding, hell he doesn't tell anyone about his disability. He has dyslexia and cannot read. During their search for the perfect poem Leo begins to have feelings for Serena but he is scared. When he reveals his problem, she loses it and leaves him and I got so mad at her during this time. Even though she feel she has been used again, she should be ashamed of herself for leaving immediately after he revealed such a hard thing. From here on the book is just as good but I don't want to ruin it for you. It is a must read and I am happy to say I loved it!! I'm rating it in at Four Stars!!!!

A February Bride ( A Year of Weddings, #3)

Publication Date: January 28, 2014

Description:  In A February Bride by Betsy St. Amant, history repeats itself when this bride runs out of the church on her wedding day---in the same dress that had been passed down for generations and worn by her mom, grandma and great-grandmother who also ran out of their weddings. The heroine struggles to break destructive cycles of the past. Can this bride shuck expectation and discover who SHE is as a bride and in the Bride of Christ? And if she finally walks down the aisle, what dress will she be wearing? Readers will enjoy this novel of redemption centered on a winter wedding.

Review: I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher in return for my honest opinion. There seems to be a pattern to the A Year of Weddings series for me...the first book was good but predictable, the second book was not as good but cute, this book just blah. I am just not big on books about previous couples getting back together. It all begins with a wedding...or not actually, as the bride runs out of the poor unsuspecting groom AT THE WEDDING!! Terrible really if you ask me. Then the rest of the book is just nonsense to me. Not worth a read for me, but maybe for someone who actually like books on getting redemption.

A December Bride ( A Year of Weddings, #1)

Publication Date: September 17, 2013

Description: What started as a whim turned into an accidental - and very public - engagement. Can Layla and Seth keep up the facade in Chapel Springs this holiday season - for the sake of her career . . . and his heart?

Under normal circumstances, Seth Murphy, the best friend of Layla O'Reilly's ex-fiance would be the last person she'd marry. But the news of their upcoming (and phony) nuptials convinces a big client that Layla may be high-society enough to work for his agency, a coup that would put her fledgling home-staging business on the map. Seth has secretly loved Layla for years, even when she was dating his best friend. Maybe she'll never forgive him for the way he hurt her back then, but he has to try. And Layla is willing to keep up their engagement farce until she's landed her client. For Layla, it's the chance to save her career. But for Seth, it's his last chance to win her heart.

Review: I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher in return for my honest opinion. I really enjoyed this book which is the first in the A Year of Weddings series. Layla is an up and coming business woman who is still working in a cafe to make ends meet until she gets some clients. She is supposed to be attending her ex's wedding to her cousin with her friend who suddenly calls and cancels due to being ill. She runs into her ex's friend Seth who convinces her to attend as his date.  Oh boy!! While at the wedding Seth blurts out they are engaged...it wasn't his fault honest...he just was trying to help. This begins  all kind of drama in the little town they live in. Because Seth has money and is well known and liked in their town, she gets a call from a very much wanted client who wants to meet with her.....and Seth! Quickly they agree on a plan and continue to be "engaged" until she gets the client and some business lined up basically. It's a whirlwind of activity the rest of the book and it just was a really cute read. A little predictable at times but nevertheless entertaining.

A January Bride ( A Year of Weddings, #2)

Publication Date:  December 24, 2013

Description: Who can work in a house that's overrun by contractors and carpenters? Not Madeleine Houser, a successful novelist who gladly accepts the help of her octogenarian friend, Ginny, to arrange for a temporary office in the charming bed and breakfast owned by Ginny's friend, Arthur. Maddie’s never met the innkeeper––but a friendship grows between them as Maddie and Arthur leave messages for each other each day. To Maddie’s alternate delight and chagrin, she seems to be falling for the inn’s owner––a man who's likely many years her senior––and who she’s never even met.

Review: I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher in return for my honest opinion. Granted I'm just a tad behind on my review, however I have finally been able to read it and am now writing said review. This is the second book in the A Year of Weddings series and I have to say so far I'm not that impressed, I did enjoy the first book somewhat, it was a cute story, but this one was just okay. I expected more I guess. It was adorable how they each thought the other was an older person, and the little letters back and forth between them were cute as well. I did like the way the book is just a clean and fun read, but I can't rate this as more than a two and a half stars, but since that isn't an option I have rounded up.

Publication Date January 2014
Author Scarlett Dawn

Review:For my first book of the year to be finished I have to say I waited very IMPATIENTLY for this book to come out. I had pre-ordered it awhile back so it was quite a wait for me. First off I have to say that if you haven't read the first book in the series King Hall, then read it before you read this one, because King Cave picks up exactly where the first book left us hanging. On a second note, where the first book had so much sexual tension and no sex scenes, just the knowledge that one or the other had been having sex with others, this book we get our sex scenes!!!I was crying from almost the very beginning with the pain and suffering I knew that Jake and Pearl were going to be feeling with the loss of their mates from the previous book, I love how the author set it up to put a spell on them so they wouldn't remember and were able to help Ezra and  Lily get as many Mys to safety as possible. This book really shows us the connection between Antonio and Lily and how much they really mean to each other. It also shows us that Ezra's dad can be more than his scary self at times. I swear I really didn't want to bring in the new year with tears but I couldn't help myself as I read and read because I couldn't put this book down and let me tell you that started a pretty heated little argument with the hubby lol. Anyway, back to the book at hand, there is so much pain, love, and some questions answered that you may become a little overwhelmed with the fact that....there is going to be a third book and we are left hanging AGAIN!!!! DAMNIT I say lmao, even though I pretty much knew going into it there was to be a third book I cried out in horror when this one ended and I knew I was going to have to wait for god knows how long before getting the next one! This book was better than my expectations in more ways than one and I cannot wait for the next one!!
