Believe ( True Believers, #3) by Erin McCarthy

Description: Robin used to be a party girl… until she got black out drunk and woke up in bed with her best friend's boyfriend. Now she's faced with being THAT girl, and couldn't be more disgusted with herself. She can't even tell her friends the reason for her sudden sobriety and she avoids everyone until she meets Phoenix—quiet, tattooed, and different in every way that's good and oh, so bad…

Phoenix is two days out of jail when he meets Robin at his cousin's house, and he knows that he has no business talking to her, but he's drawn to her quiet demeanor, sweet smile, and artistic talent. She doesn't care that he's done time, or that he only has five bucks to his name, and she supports his goal to be a tattoo artist.

But Phoenix knows Robin has a secret, and that it's a naïve dream to believe that his record won't catch up with them at some point. Though neither is prepared for the explosive result when the past collides with the present…

Review: All I can say is Wow!! I first read this series last year with True, I loved the story and the characters and I'm glad that all of her books revolve around this family. This book is about their cousin Phoenix who has just gotten out of jail. Robin is friends with Jessica and Rory and Kylie from the first two books, and she has gotten herself into a real sticky mess. Although unintentionally she has done one of the worst things possible to a friend and has fallen into a depression of sorts. After meeting Phoenix and feeling a connection with him they begin to hang out. He basically brings her back to life. Now normally I would say it was awful quick for them to fall for each other, but the way the author wrote it, you just have to go with it and smile when they say it to each other for the first time. I am now and will evermore be an Erin McCarthy fan after this book. I love, love, love how she continues to use the previous characters in situations with our current couple and how much of a loving family they really are, despite their upbringing. Even though I was sad when I reached the end, I read the preview for the next book in the series and that brought me back up again!! Cannot wait!!!
