Maxine Daniels was made an offer that she couldn’t refuse. She couldn’t think of a better time—after breaking things off with her fiancĂ©—to change cities and merge her company with Saunders Literary Agency. At thirty-three, she isn’t getting any younger, so it’s time to start fresh and leave her past behind.

What she doesn’t anticipate is the diversion that lies ahead. Kyle Saunders is a catastrophic tsunami that enters her life and consumes her world in just a matter of minutes. Everything about him is telling her no, but her heart and the heat between her legs is screaming yes. He was never a factor in her divine plan—nor was she in his.

Kyle is the clichĂ© bachelor; he is a twenty-four-year-old charismatic chick magnet who refuses to settle down. He’s dead set on living the carefree single life—that is—until Max comes strolling in. Then all his ridiculous rules fall to the wayside. Who knew that just one hello could alter their lives forever?

EXCERPT

My mouth hangs open. It’s like time freezes, and all I can think is holy fuck! I’m speechless. Never in my life have I been speechless or caught off-guard to this magnitude. The woman in front of me is fucking hot! On fire! I slowly take her in, starting with her high red pumps, long legs, and tight red skirt reaching her knees, hugging one amazing ass and some unGodly shaped hips. Man, those hips though. I can already see my hands being at home on those hips. My eyes drift up to her tiny waist and voluptuous breasts. Yum. Her face is flawless: lips plush and eyes a beautiful iridescent blue, which completely contrasts against her darker complexion and the brown of her hair. Simple perfection.

I must be standing here like a doof, making an ass of myself, because she smiles with a tiny bit of amusement. She reaches her hand out to me. “Hello. You must be Kyle?”

I continue to stare, completely mesmerized. It takes me a moment to snap out of it. “Uh, yes, I’m Kyle. You must be Maxine.” I grab her hand, immediately feeling the softness of her skin. “It’s nice to meet you,” I say with a smile.

“It’s just Max,” she informs me.

About the Author

Shevaun DeLucia, author of the Eternal Mixture series, lives in upstate New York with her husband, four children, and two dogs. As a stay-at-home mom while her children were young, she fell in love with reading. She indulged in the small moments that took her away from the reality of her loud, rambunctious household, bringing her into a world of fantasy. When reading wasn’t enough to satisfy her, she turned to writing, determined to create the perfect ending of her own.

My Review

*** I received this copy from the publisher and NetGalley in return for my honest opinions.***

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!! I had previously read one other book by this author and enjoyed it so when I was offered this opportunity I jumped at it. It was such a sweet and sad book all in one! The devastating loss that Evan and his son have gone through with the death of his wife is just heartbreaking. The fact that his wife's best friend was able to stay in their lives and tell his son about his mom from her memories is fantastic, I would only hope that someone would do that for me if the situation were the same. When Evan moves to where Charlotte is for a fresh start he is surprised by his feelings for her that grow . She had always liked him and when her best friend got him she pushed her feelings aside and was really happy for them. When  her friend died she was heartbroken for them all, but when she lives that close to him and her feelings start to show she feels guilt and shame because he was her best friends hubby not for her.

I loved the way they worked through their feelings and the situations they found themselves in. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the message behind it...or the message I got from reading it anyway. I would recommend this book to all my friends because it is such a good story and I"m sure everyone will find their own messages in it. I am rating this book in at five hearts!!!!

Description

Katie Rose’s Boys of Summer series returns for a delicious double-header—with the story of total opposites who are drawn to each other like moths to a flame.

Nikki Case is no fan of baseball. Her ex gambled away a fortune on the sport, and now her PR firm has tasked her with cleaning up the league’s most notorious bad boys. Her first stop in the battle to win hearts and minds is star hitter Jake Baldwin—a legendary ladies man so smokin’ he threatens to melt her tough-girl armor.

Although his teammates prank her without mercy, Jake admires the way Nikki gives as good as she gets. She may be the queen of frost, but there’s kindling beneath those sultry curves—and he’s just the man to ignite it. My Review

*** I received this copy from the publisher and NetGalley in return for my honest opinions.***

This was such a fun book to read, I loved the pranks the guys pulled on Nikki how she handles them. I've never been much of a baseball fan but I was able to get into this book because to be honest there wasn't that much in there that I couldn't deal with. It mostly was about how Nikki was working so hard to make their images better and also about her at first trying to avoid the feelings she has for Jake. When she finally lets it all go it was funny to me how he decided he wanted to go slow at first. Too cute!!! Even though I was able to get into the book it wasn't really a book I loved, I did enjoy it but it didn't grab at me the way some books do. I would read more by the author happily, and I would recommend this book as well, it just wasn't my favorite book. Overall I'm rating this book in at 3 hearts.

Find Me In Darkness: Mal and Christina's Story, Part 1 (Dark Pleasures #1) by Julie Kenner

Description

A doomed woman. A dangerous and mysterious man. And an epic passion that cannot be denied…

Don’t miss Mal and Christina’s story:

Find Me in Darkness

Find Me in Pleasure

Find Me in Passion

And be sure not to miss the first novella in this exciting and sexy series by Julie Kenner (aka J. Kenner), Caress of Darkness, a 1001 Dark Nights novella.

***NOTE TO READERS*** Each of the 1001 Dark Nights novellas stands alone. (Caress of Darkness and the 2015 release, Caress of Pleasure.) The Find Me books are a true trilogy and are meant to be read in order.

My Review

Oh god where to start??? Malcom or Mal as Christina calls him, his story is so tragic. To have love and to lose it repeatedly and by his own hand is so sad. I was teary while reading his account of things in the past. Christina also has such a sad tale, of being loved and loving Mal but also to have such a scary and destructive weapon to deal with...wow is really the only word I have for it besides it being just horrible.  The whole idea of the story is wonderful and so far I'm loving where it is going.  I am already ready to read the next book and I know it won't be long before I am able to so for now I am happy lol. Overall this is an excellent read full of mystery and love. I am rating it in at four hearts.

My Review

***I received this copy from the author in exchange for my honest opinions. ***

I have been a fan of Scarlett Dawn since I first read King Cave. When I had the opportunity to read this book I flipped and squealed with excitement! I loved how throughout the book we kept having flashbacks to different time periods and things they had experienced together, I wish we had a little more information during all the time they had spent apart but I'm sure there will be more in the next book. I absolutely loved how possessive Jet is when Lucy comes to visit him at the club and a certain bartender is flirting with her. I fell horrible for Jet and his father having to deal with his mother and her ailment. I have personal experience with the disease and know the toll it takes on families and loved ones. I really felt the connection between these two and never doubted for a minute they were meant to be together and I really liked how it was just a known fact to Lucy that neither of them cheated on the other while they were separated by distance.  I was a little exasperated by what had happened in the beginning, but it all fans out fairly soon. Lucy's mom is a riot and I look forward to more about her and her men lol. All in all I loved the beginning of this series and I am anxiously awaiting the next installment!!! I'm rating this in at five hearts!!

Can't Always Get What You Want by Chelsey Krause

Description

Fans of Ruthie Knox, Rachel Gibson, and Molly O’Keefe will love this deeply romantic and uplifting debut novel about losing everything you thought you wanted—and getting exactly what you need.

Sophie Richards has been looking forward to a much-needed girls’ night out: a Rolling Stones tribute-band concert, a few drinks, a distraction from her grueling nursing shifts in acute care. But when her best friend bails, Sophie gets stuck with a blind date.

Although Brett Nicholson may be the hottest carpenter alive, and Sophie may technically be single, she isn’t exactly on the market. Six years ago she found The One. He was everything Sophie dreamed a man could be—and then she lost him. In an instant, her whole life changed, and she forgot all about happily ever after.

But as she gets to know Brett, Sophie starts to wonder about the future for the first time. With a broken heart still clouding her mind, jumping into a new relationship feels impossible. When she’s in his arms, walking away feels even harder. Now Sophie faces an impossible choice: living in the past or choosing love in the here and now.

My Review

* * * I received this copy from NetGalley and the publisher in return for my honest opinions. * * *

I had never read a book by this author before and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Although there were times I was wanting to cry from how unjust the world is at times I completely understand what everyone was going through.  I really loved Sophie's character and felt a connection with her. When she meets Brett I giggled at their interactions and thought it was cute. When things took a turn and they admitted their feelings for one another I knew something bad was going to happen, especially since she hadn't let go of her lost love. When Brett threw down the questions I got a little emotional because I know how hard it is to let go of a lost loved one but Sophie was being rediculous and almost acting as if he were still around. I couldn't believe how she treated her best friend even. When she finally realizes what she has done I breathed a sigh of relief and wanted to applaud the author on a book well done lol. All in all I'm rating this book in at four hearts.

Rebel: The Complete Biker Next Door Series by Jamie Fuchs

Description

It all started so innocently. My neighbor, Mr. Cook, lured me to his motorcycle club with the promise of a present for my 18th birthday. The gift, if you could even call it that, was far from what I expected and the Saint Reapers quickly turned me into their dirty little biker girl. It was such a rush, being so desired and wanted by a horde of men each and every day. There was nothing I wanted more than to have each of them use me to satisfy their own cravings.

Everything was great until a rival gang caught word that I was hanging out at the clubhouse regularly. That's when my life began to spiral out of control. Mr. Cook hardly even talked to me, and when he did, it was only to reassure me that everything would soon be back to normal. He may have been the leader of the Saint Reapers, but that didn't make him a magician. I was in more danger than ever and had to spend every waking moment with him just to stay alive.

The sad part was, even going through all of this I couldn't help the feelings that were developing for Mr. Cook. I could only hope that underneath his rough and damaged exterior he felt the same way about me and that we could stay together even after I no longer needed his protection.

This is the complete Rebel series. It contains the following stories:
Part 1: amazon.com/dp/B00L9JEL0G
Part 2: amazon.com/dp/B00OMG2ZZG
Part 3: amazon.com/dp/B00PJJ4PEE
Part 4: amazon.com/dp/B00Q5OFYHY
Part 5: amazon.com/dp/B00QP9SQBU
Part 6: amazon.com/dp/B00RKVL0DI

My Review

*** I received this copy from the author in exchange for my honest opinions. * * *

Starting this series I was so excited! I love biker stories and knew it was going to be an exciting ride so to speak lol. I'm hooked on this author and have enjoyed all of her works I have read. She has a way of drawing you into her stories, almost to the point of feeling as of you are there and not just reading them.  I loved the characters and their experiences.  When we first meet Mr. Cook it's exciting and sexy. All the excitement follows you through the books as we experience a rival gang, hot sex and new love found and lost. I absolutely loved the series and am rating it in at four hearts.
