Excerpt:

He stopped. His shadow loomed over me. I knew he was taking me in. No one said anything but I could see Ty and Micah move in closer as if to stop Jax from doing something stupid.

“You!” His low, tight voice greeted me and I stifled a whimper at his nearness as his breath touched the side of my face causing me to close my eyes and let it wash over me. What was wrong with me?

Turning my head and raising my eyes to the outline of his face, all I could hear was his heavy breathing. At that very second I wanted nothing more than to have full vision. To look into his eyes and see the storm I knew would be brewing. I sensed the distaste rolling off him, swirling around me but it didn’t matter. I didn’t care. Even with the front door open, his large body shot waves of heat through me as if I was standing beside the burning flames of hell.

We stood like that for an eternal minute before he sucked in a breath and on an exhale he growled, “I can’t fucking do this!” And then all the heat evaporated as he disappeared out the front door again. I forced my feet to stand still and not go after him.

My Review

Oh my god I loved this book. Every minute of it from the beginning heartbreak we have and the ugly tears I cried for the loss of Chloe and to the happy tears I had when Holly received her heart. The pain poor Jax felt and how he felt it was his fault just broke me. When he had such hatred for her in the beginning I was so sad for him, and when he finally was able to move past it and see her for who she was..well it was a beautiful experience.

I fell in love a little with Micha lol what a hottie! The way he befriended her was lovely. Honestly the whole story was so wonderful I just wanted it to keep going on and on. But it had to end. I hope soon there may be a follow up or even a book for Micha and Leah with Holly and Jax in it.  Overall great read I'm rating it in at five hearts!!!!!

My Review

It was a short but sweet book. Girl set out on revenge for the monster  that hurt her brother...and yet when she meets said monster he is anything  but that. He is a complex individual  with a dark past. While digging and pretending  to be his long time girlfriend  she learns the truth about him and it isn't long before she has fallen for him. But when he finds out her deceit it's almost unbearably  sad for them both. Now my only real complaint is that when she learns the truth why doesn't she Talk to her brother more about it...no all we Get is the author telling  us he clammed  up. A little frustrating  but overall a cute book I'm rating in at three hearts.

I haven't read any other books in this series so I was a bit lost on some of the characters and who was with who and all that.  However I really got into this book once I was able to put that aside. I may not have known what had happened in the past but I was able to figure out what was going on in the present.  It was an amazing adventure full of danger, magic and hot vampire sex lol.  I really enjoyed the book and look forward to becoming more acquainted with the characters and their stories.  I'm rating this one in at four hearts!!!

So to start out we begin with Allie  finding  out she's pregnant  and her father  kicks her out. We also find out she is a rape survivor  and that's rough. Flash forward  and she is taking care of herself  and her little  girl along  with the help of her friend Shelly. They have been through  everything  together  and are always  there for each other. 

Allie has an unhealthy way of going out, meeting strangers in the club and screwing them...that's not the problem  though, the problem  is she likes it rough.  I'm sure this is some residual  left over from her rape and it's a hard thing to deal with much less read, but then she meets Colin. Oh yummy Colin, with his bad boy ways and yet he is so gentle with Allie when she wants him to just give it to her.

Colin has shown he is different  from her usual men, yet when she finds out he may be involved  with some sort of organized crime she flips out a bit. When all of a sudden Andrew shows up wanoting to spend  time with her daughter. 

When one thing goes bad  it seems like everything  else follows it. This story  is very mysterious  at times with us not knowing exactly  what Colin does and when Andrew will show up..much less how he found them. I really enjoyed  it and cannot  wait for the next one .
