Talon Walker is the dark and intriguing drummer for the up and coming band ‘Rebel Walking’. A tragedy in his past has left him empty with no desire for a relationship. That is until he meets Eaven.
One minute your heart is filled with love, the next your entire life comes crashing down. Everything can change in a heartbeat. Can Eaven and Talon overcome the obstacles in their way and find love?

Review: Let me begin by saying that I have been a Street Team member of an unnamed author for while now, and I love it so much that when I saw an opportunity to join the Street Team of Hilary Storm I JUMPED at the chance. Granted....I had never read one of her books, but there was something about the description of her books that called to me and told me I was going to love her. I love that I am rarely wrong hahaha. I can now say that after joining her Street Team and buying not just one but two books in the Rebel Walking series, I am a FOREVER FAN!!! Not only is there romance in this book, there is a feeling of completeness when the characters come together. We love with them, we feel sad with them, and we feel scared with them through everything they go through together. Just when you feel like everything is going the way it should be you get the surprise of your life! I feel that this book needs to be on everyone's to be read shelf!!! I'm rating this book FOUR STARS!!!!!

His To Possess: #1 The Suduction

This was part one of the book I was able to read, it was given to me by NetGalley and it was done as a miniseries. Really had me entertained! I was hooked from the first meeting with Dane, who wouldn't love a man helping a damsel in distress?  Not wanting to spoil the book for you I will just say when Dane and Jessica get together you will be fanning your face. The next morning is just as surprising haha.

Defy

Let me sing my praises for this book as well as I can. The very beginning of the book held me enthralled with the characters and what they already were having to go through with the death of their parents. Marcel's quick thinking in cutting Alexa's hair to make her appear to be his twin brother instead of twin sister was heartbreaking as well as genius. Although we do come to find out that it was something that had been discussed before. When next we meet up with Marcel and Alexa, who is now known as Alex, they are the personal guards of the Royal Prince Damian. Alex is the best fighter among all the guards and she is only seventeen. When assassins make an attempt on the Prince something horrible happens and Marcel is killed. Oh my God, even though I had just gotten to know these characters I felt such sympathy for Alex and I did have some tears for awhile there. Although Alex is a warrior and soldier, she is still a young woman hiding who and what she is, so when she begins to have feeling for the Prince as well as for Rylan, another guard, she isn't sure what is going on, just that she must do everything in her power to resist. When the Prince begins to act differently toward her she suspects he knows her big secret, but he can't know that can he? Here is where all the best things begin to happen, we find out Rylan knows about her and has feelings for her, then we find out the Prince isn't who he seems to be and he too has feelings for her. What will she do you ask me? HA I shall not tell you I say!! You will have to read this book for yourselves and let me tell you I am already hoping there is a next book soon to appease my hunger for it!  I received this book from NetGalley in return for my honest opinion. I am rating this book at four stars!!!!

Path Unchosen

I started this book excited about reading it, I finished the book excited it was over. No normally I'm a huge fan of witches and warlocks and supernatural beings, but for this book in the beginning it didn't hold my interest that much, although I was interested in finding out who Judy really was. The more I read, the less interested I was there were characters thrown in that were interesting in their own right, but for some reason the whole story just didn't sit well with me. I love the way the author was going with it but it just wasn't accomplished for me. By the end of the book I was tired of the main character in more ways than one. And I was confused about her mentor as well as other characters. I realize that there is to be another book, and it probably would answer most of the questions that I have been left with, however I am not in the least bit interested in reading it. I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.overall I'm going to rate this book at 2 stars.

Three Broken Promises

Description: Commitment. That’s what I really want from Colin. Ever since my brother, Danny, died in Iraq, Colin’s done so much to help me, including giving me a job at his popular restaurant so I can leave my crappy waitressing job at the strip joint. But lying in bed with him every night to comfort him from his horrible nightmares isn’t enough anymore. I know he feels guilty about Danny’s death, about not going to Iraq, but I can’t keep living this double life.

I love him desperately, but he’s got so many demons, and if he can’t open up to me now, then he’ll never be the real partner I need him to be. I gave him a month, and now I’m out of here. If he truly loves me like he says, he knows where to find me.

Review: Three broken promises? More like three wasted hours. Yes I tried to read this book for three hours just to finish it because I hate not giving a book a chance and at least trying. I tried my hardest then would take breaks then come back to it just groaning in my head wondering if it could get any worse. It did by the way. The more I read the more it seemed like a bunch of crap. I couldn't bring myself to read it for a moment longer however I did skip to the end to see if it was any better and I have to say the characters are just dumb in love I guess. Ridiculous.

King Hall

Description: A fresh, meaty, sink‐your‐teeth‐in‐and‐hold‐on‐tight new adult fantasy series kicks off with King Hall
King Hall — where the Mysticals go to learn their craft, get their degrees, and transition into adulthood. And where four new Rulers will rise and meet their destinies.
Lily Ruckler is adept at one thing: survival. Born a Mystical hybrid, her mere existence is forbidden, but her nightmare is only about to start. Fluke, happenstance, and a deep personal loss finds Lily deeply entrenched with those who would destroy her simply for existing — The Mystical Kings. Being named future Queen of the Shifters shoves Lily into the spotlight, making her one of the most visible Mysticals in the world. But with risk comes a certain solace — her burgeoning friendships with the other three Rulers: a wicked Vampire, a wild-child Mage, and a playboy Elemental.
Backed by their faith and trust, Lily begins to relax into her new life. Then chaos erupts as the fragile peace between Commoners and Mysticals is broken, and suddenly Lily realizes the greatest threat was never from within, and her fear takes on a new name: the Revolution.

Review:  I received this book from NetGalley and the Publisher in return for my honest review. Holy crap is what I have to say after staying up until freaking three a.m. reading this book! I could not put the damn thing down! I cried so hard in the beginning and then again at the ending! Oh and ask me how long it took me to pre-order the second installment of this series?? Did it immediately after finishing this one. I was highly upset I couldn't continue the journey I was on.  God the people were just so great, I was in love with Dominic and also with Ezra. I want so badly for Lily and Ezra to get together even though I feel like it is going to cause a political mess. I really just don't know what to feel about Pearl and Jack, other than to say I love them and hope things work out in the next book for them, but I know they are in for a big change. AHHHHHH....I cannot wait dangit lol. I want to read it now!!! I'm going to have to read this one again I suppose just to hold myself over and not go insane. Kuddos to the author who has me hooked. Obviously this book is being rated at five stars!!!!

Inhuman by Kat Falls; The Darkest Path by Jeff Hirsch; The Bar Code Prophecy by Suzanne Weyn

Description: In a world ravaged by mutation, a teenage girl must travel into the forbidden Savage Zone to recover lost artifacts or her father’s life is forfeit.

America has been ravaged by a war that has left the eastern half of the country riddled with mutation. Many of the people there exhibit varying degrees of animal traits. Even the plant life has gone feral.

Crossing from west to east is supposed to be forbidden, but sometimes it’s necessary. Some enter the Savage Zone to provide humanitarian relief. Sixteen-year-old Lane’s father goes there to retrieve lost artifacts—he is a Fetch. It’s a dangerous life, but rewarding—until he’s caught.

Desperate to save her father, Lane agrees to complete his latest job. That means leaving behind her life of comfort and risking life and limb—and her very DNA—in the Savage Zone. But she’s not alone. In order to complete her objective, Lane strikes a deal with handsome, roguish Rafe. In exchange for his help as a guide, Lane is supposed to sneak him back west. But though Rafe doesn't exhibit any signs of “manimal” mutation, he’s hardly civilized . . . and he may not be trustworthy.

Review:  What to say about this book.....AMAZING!!! AWESOMENESS!!! Gosh there are so many words that do it justice! When I started this book I was immediately drawn into the world the author has created. When you read about how kisses shouldn't be given via mouth because of germs, I was like wow!! That would suck lol. The more I read the less I knew what was going on around me and the more I was drawn into the book. The characters are amazing as well, the names alone make them stand out and the way they are "mutated" is really imaginative and creative! Not only is this a book for the teenagers out there, it really is a book that can be read by all ages! There are moments where you will laugh, cry ( seriously cry, grab a box of tissue to keep handy!) and roll your eyes. Gosh Lane really gets you from the beginning, girl who is desperate to find her father, not only because of the ultimatum, but because she is worried about him. Rafe...am I allowed to say yum without being arrested lol? Because he is hotness but he takes some getting used to...me and my bad boys I tell you. Then there is Everson, who I am still trying to figure out. There are times when I want Lane and him to get together, but then he seems selfish, then there are moments when I'm like yea get with him!! But then again I want her with Rafe.......My brain is a mess  because of what happens at the end, I am anxiously awaiting the second installment of this book. I want to know where they went, how much time has passed, does anyone contact anyone??? So many questions left to be answered. Over all I would rate this book with five stars because it is just so awesome!!

Review: There were only a few chapters of this book for me to get a taste of it,  but I really didn't get into it. Granted I haven't read the whole book so I really cannot give a star rating for it and be honest, because who knows how I would feel halfway into it you know what I mean?

Description:
The third book in the Bar Code series, in which one girl struggles to escape the conformity of a dystopian world.

But now this ominous situation is experienced through the eyes of sixteen-year-old Grace Morrow.
When Grace finds out that she's adopted, her biological father, who's the head of the Global 1 nano-bot injection project, urges her against getting the bar code tattoo when she turns seventeen. Stunned by the revelations, she goes home to find her adoptive family vanished, and she's determined to find them, turning to the anti-bar-code group Decode. Review: Again like the previous book, I really cannot give an honest review, not only because there really isn't enough for me to have formed an opinion, but because I haven't read any of the other books in this trilogy. It does sound very interesting though so I may be heading to the library sometime soon.
